Toasts to the Trail – Saturday, Aug 26

Coastal Trail

Join Coastside Land Trust for the introduction of Wavecrest’s CA Coastal Trail Phase II alignment and construction planning. Tours of the proposed Phase II alignment will be given, and maps of the alignment provided. Light refreshments donated by the Ritz Carlton. Wear sturdy shoes, layers, and sun protection. 21 years and over.  Bring your own champagne glass.

Hiring Fair at New Leaf Community Market in Half Moon Bay – July 11th

New Leaf Community Market is looking to hire people to join the friendly team at the Half Moon Bay store at 150 San Mateo Road! Coastsiders interested in learning about and applying for jobs are invited to a free job fair on Tuesday, July 11, 2 pm – 4pm in New Leaf’s community classroom adjacent to the store.

There are openings at all levels in all departments and prior grocery experience is not required. New Leaf has a training program that provides employees with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to be successful. New Leaf is looking to hire managers in departments including Produce, Grocery, and Deli, and a buyer for the Bulk Foods team. People who enjoy interacting with customers may be interested in the product enthusiast position. New Leaf is also actively seeking janitorial staff.

People interested in applying for jobs should bring their resume; interviews will take place during the fair. Prospective employees will be able to meet mangers and learn what New Leaf is all about. Coastside Hope’s 6th Annual BBQ

Coastside Gives

New Leaf is your headquarters for the 2nd annual Coastside Gives. Together in one day, we will raise money for several local non-profits working to benefit our community. Drop by our Giving Table to learn more and make a donation. Donors will receive a gift donated by individuals and organizations in our community and Bay area. The Great Guac-Off at New Leaf Half Moon Bay

The avocado harvest is underway. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a guacamole tasting competition between New Leaf employees’ recipes and New Leaf’s Own guacamole. Taste, vote and pick up recipes and tips for using this buttery fruit. Wavecrest Workday with Coastside Land Trust

Join Coastside Land Trust on the coastal prairie for a habitat restoration workday at CLT Bird Trail at Wavecrest 11.5.15Wavecrest on Earth Day 2017, Saturday  April 22 from 10-noon.  Coastside Land Trust will continue their work removing invasive plants around the coastal trail, picking up trash, and abating graffiti.  Meet at  Smith Field Ballparks at the end of Wavecrest Road in Half Moon Bay.  Wear layers, sturdy shoes, and sun protection.  If you plan to participate in graffiti abatement, wear clothes that can get muddy.  Under 18 must be accompanied by adult.
